Happy December! Christmas is just a week away and I’m so excited for all the Christmas parties and celebrations! Well, if you haven’t got a plan yet - fret not, because this entry is all about Christmas and year-end celebrations with Faber Peak Singapore.
A while ago, I visited Faber Peak Singapore together with ChurpSG's Sarah and Jiehui, and we got to ride on cable cars! It was really nostalgic since the last time I rode on them was probably 10 years ago, and it briefly relived some childhood memories of mine. How long has it been since you rode on cable cars?
Here’s the amazing view from atop of Mount Faber via the cable cars! I was so excited and I must say, it’s pretty therapeutic just watching the world go by.
Festive Dining on Cloud 9
For the whole of December, 30 cable car cabins will be decked in festive decorations with various themes - perfect for this joyous occasion! Lucky us got to ride on two different themed cabins as shown in the pictures above!
If you’d prefer a more private Christmas celebration with your loved ones, you can opt to enjoy an exquisite four-course meal on three-round trips in these festive cable cars!
Here are more pictures of the amazing view upon arriving at Spuds & Aprons, the restaurant on the top of the hill at Faber Peak Singapore. We were due to arrive at Spuds & Aprons try out the Festive Menu and I was elated - because food!
Spuds & Aprons Special Festive Menu
We got to try out the festive dinner from Spuds & Aprons, specially curated this festive season. At S$80++ per person, you get to enjoy a four-course dinner where you can choose from either chicken roulade or steak for your main. A three-course festive lunch is also available at S$45++ per person.
Roast Butternut Pumpkin and Apple Soup
I don't usually opt for pumpkin soups but this was really, really amazing. I really loved the combination of apples and pumpkins, and the soup was pleasantly sweet and refreshing.
Smoked Salmon Tart
I absolutely love both salmon and tarts, so I really enjoyed this starter dish! With chilled asparagus, cream cheese mouuse, salmon roe, passionfruit vinagrette as well as mesclun salad, the smoked salmon tart tasted really flavorful and makes for a great appetizer.
Grain-fed 150 day Australian Sirloin Steak
This was my main course! Served with parsnip mashed potato and brussel sprouts with sage jus, the beef came from a cow that was grain-fed for 150 days, thus giving it a succulent and juicy flavor. I really loved this! However, if you’re not a fan of beef, you can opt for the chicken roulade as your main course.
Farmstyle Chicken Roulade Stuffed with Chestnuts
And this is Jiehui’s main course! Made with meat from chicken thigh instead of chicken breast, the chicken roulade is served with mashed potato and brussel sprouts with sage jus. Since it’s made with chicken thigh, the meat is extra tender, juicy and flavorful.
Steamed Normades Sponge Pudding
Served as dessert, this sponge pudding had a hint of cinnamon and tasted really great alongside the red wine compote (which is essentially slices of grapes in what tasted like red wine or grape jam).
Other than Christmas celebrations, one can also look forward to new year countdowns and celebrations at Faber Peak Singapore!
