It's been almost a year since I've done my first "What's In My Bag" post (the first one here). It's amazing how everything seems to stay the same with each passing day, but when you look back to yourself a year ago, there are indeed drastic changes. Same goes for what's in my bag! Here's the updated version of what's in my bag these days.
Here's my go-to bag these days, it's the Brea Bag from Miss Bag Lady. There is just too much to love about this bag – the color (black all day everyday), the quality and the perfect shape and structure. It seems small (perfect for my petite frame), but believe me, it actually fits a lot of things. I can even include my water bottle on days I want to, but I mostly don't carry my bottle out so it isn't shown in this post.
The burgundy-coloured inner lining brings this bag to a whole new level of what I call, luxe. With two main zip pockets, three inner compartments and another outer zip compartment, I can organise all my belongings without worrying that they may go missing or get squashed. You'd be amazed, but here are the contents that actually fit perfectly in my Brea bag.
I have finally stopped procrastinating after years of getting a journal but never actually gotten down to using them. In year 2015, I hope this journal will be fully wrecked by me.
I believe I have mentioned somewhere that I can't live without a watch whenever I head outside. Not that I rely on my watch to tell time (because I actually don't) but having worn a watch daily for the past few years, I now can't stand having my left wrist feel 'empty', so I started bringing a second watch around in my bag, just in case my clumsy brain decides to forget about wearing one.
Not a fan of huge long wallets because I'm quite small in size. Anyway, this wallet contains basically my essentials: debit card, membership card (quite a few cos Singaporean), cash, coins, some receipts, vouchers and name cards.
Though my wallet is small enough, I still find it a chore especially when I have to dig my bag for my transport card so to save myself all the trouble (and shame when you hold up the entire Singapore while searching for your card), mine is easily reachable in a card holder.
The Beauty Products:
I actually got this from my friend's sister, but clumsy (I told you so!) me broke the case... So being OCD about it, I had to go purchase another of this powder just so I could have a brand new case. And now I use it rather frequently.
Words can't express how much I love my NARS lipstick. I haven't actually stopped using this ever since I received it for a NARS event (thank you!) and this is definitely one of the beauty products I would repurchase. Speaking of which, I will do a blog entry soon on the products on my would-repurchase list!
This works wonders and given that it's a local drugstore product, it is affordable and extremely worth every penny. The color is strong and bold, and the balm is also really moisturising. I really think this is one of the best drugstore purchases ever!
I use this concealer for my undereye circles and this is another product that goes on my would-repurchase list. I think this is my third tube already! I like how it goes on smoothly and doesn't crease or fade off as the day goes by. The coverage is really good considering how bad my dark eye rings are.
This was just recently added to my "what's in my bag" list because for some reason, my hands are becoming really dry and the skin is actually peeling as if it was sunburnt. I don't know why, but I hope this hand cream keeps it in check. Applying hand cream is actually a really good habit anyway, you wouldn't want your future partner to hold your hand and freak out.
For protection against the sun and also apt for days I feel I look horrible.
I usually bring along my pair of prescription glasses even though I'm out in contact lenses. Just in case my contact lenses decide to screw up my eyes on a particular day, I still have a back-up plan you see.
Since most of the time I don't bring my water bottle out, it gets humid at times and whenever I am in dire need to quench my thirst yet can't find any drink around, mints help to keep me cool and refreshed. Well, sort of.
Gone are the days of iPhone photos! Most of my photos now are taken via the QX10 lens that I can conveniently mount onto my iPhone and use my iPhone as a screen.
On long bus rides or train rides, I hate having nothing to keep myself occupied with. And since I don't play many games on my iPhone, music helps keep me occupied. I secretly like to sing in an empty bus or whenever I'm sitting far away from all other homosepians.
You can get the Brea bag from Miss Bag Lady. There are tons of other gorgeous bags too so do check them out. Miss Bag Lady also has a physical store located at JEM (#04-04).
