Back to write another entry for the series "The Sunday Currently" – something that I had recently came across and you can read my first entry here. It's been one heck of a busy week and throughout the weekends (especially on Sunday) I was at least texting 5 different groups of people. At the same time, at least a busy week means a productive week. How did everyone's Sunday go?
The Art of Thinking Clearly by Rolf Dobelli. This book's been sitting in my cupboard for probably a good half a year. Admittedly, I picked up this book from the shelves of a local bookstore because of its minimal book cover. Who doesn't judge a book by its cover (literally)? I certainly do. Unlike other books that I've read that are usually fiction, this one is a non-fiction and I would say it's more of a self-help and self-improvement book by sharing tips on the 'wrong' thinking and how you should 'think' clearly. Hadn't had time to read every short chapter consistently but so far so good. I've heard there are mixed reviews about it though, so I guess whether it's likeable is really subjective.
This entry as of now.
In the midst of preparing for a performance coming right up (this Wednesday!!!), I've been listening to nothing but recordings of the pieces we will be playing to get familiarity of it. I don't think I have ever overcame stage fright even though I've had 5 years of experience playing in the school's symphonic band and another 3 years of playing for performances as an alumni...
Not really thinking of anything right now except how to phrase my sentences in this post. Was deciding between sleep or writing this entry but obviously, I decided on the latter.
I practically smell like this body lotion that I've just tried out and nope, it didn't quite meet my expectations. Oh well.
For Friday to come soon!
Might be cliché, but I'm sincerely hoping for Singapore's father Mr Lee Kuan Yew to get better. Every life comes to an end naturally, even if we object to it. But Singapore is turning 50 this year and I really hope to see Mr Lee pull through this difficult time of his life to see his fruits of labor.
Another worn-to-death (at home) tee. This tee's actually meant for sports lessons in polytechnic but I wasn't required to take any so.... home tee, it is!
My somewhat new hair! Just did two types of hair treatment at Jean Yip today and my scalp finally feels... I would say, breathable? I can run my fingers through my hair now without feeling any dryness or tangles. Yay!
To sleep soon... as usual.
Don't really feel the need to have anything new right now. Perhaps a new phone case would be good.
Excited yet nervous about Wednesday's concert! I can't wait to return to Esplanade's backstage yet am already feeling the clamminess on my palms at the thought of being on stage and in the view of hundreds of people. Any one mistake made would be so obvious.
I think writing this entry actually helped me to prepare for bed. I'm kind of tired now, goodnight! Oh, you can catch me on my Snapchat for random snaps and videos daily! My username is @nsybrenda.
